10 months!!!!!!

My big boy!

       

         It's crazy to think that this time last year I was on bed rest and in and out of the hospital and now today Colter is celebrating his 10 month bday!!  What a difference a year makes!!  This past month has been full of lots of changes with my not so little guy!!  At his 9 month appt(was actually more like a 9.5 month appt) he weighed 21 lbs and 12 oz and was 29 1/2 inches long!!
         He is doing new things daily!  Just this Saturday he started pulling up to stand and now is doing it all the time.  He is crawling on hands and knees though if he really wants to be speedy he commando crawls like the wind ;-).  He can climb up on low things which scares mommy!!  He also has started trying to sand in middle of floor going up on hands and feet!  He has become more interested in climbing over Emma which Emma is unsure of!  He continues to be very chatty and is always making new noises and trying to say new things.   He is doing great imitating what we do and will do some hand geatures to songs I sing and when we show him how to use a toy(such as hammer pegs) he tries to do it.
        We started music classes this month and he LOVES them!!  He is slightly obsessed with the teacher ;-). He says Lala when I sing to him!!  We also still do fun activities and playdates with friends which is fun for mommy and Colter!!  He also started swimming and he is not so sure of that(see previous post).
        Colter is trying new foods all the time.  He likes big boy food liked grilled chicken, diced fruit and veggies and eggs.  We continue to have to be careful due to allergies but I am finding ways to be creative!  He is learning how to feed himself with a spoon but it is a messy process!!  Colter now has 5 teeth (top two side teeth , two bottom middle and right bottom). He continues to be a very happy boy and when he is really fussy I know something is wrong!!
        Jarrod and I are just so in love with this little man!!  He melts our hearts and makes us laugh...we just cant get enough of him.  Planning for the first birthday party is well underway and I just cannot believe he will be one in just a short two months!  Below are some pics of his new tricks from the last few days and a few cute pics of him in a monkey hat my friend Dawn made!
