Lake Tobias

This morning we headed off as a family to a local wildlife park Lake Tobias.  It is in Halifax about 20 minutes north of us.  We met our friends Hannah, Dan and Caden there as well.  We got there right when it opened and beat the crowds.  It was an overcast morning and even alittle chilly but perfect weather for exploring the park.  They have a variety of animals, a reptile house, a petting zoo, and a safari.  We of course took the safari ride.  Colter LOVED the riding part(there is a video of him at the end of this post screaming in joy!!).  You can buy crackers to feed the animals and they come right up to the bus.  Its really a neat experience.  Then we went to the petting zoo.  Wow those animals were hungry.  We got attacked by baby goats.  While I was squatting to help Colter pet one another baby goat ate a hole in the back of my shirt!!  We also went and saw the snake and crocodile!!  Of course we also showed Colter all the monkeys.  He LOVES monkeys and makes monkey sounds!!  After visiting lots of animals we all had lunch and ended with ice cream.  Colter was asleep in the car before we got out of the park and napped for two hours when we got home.  It was a nice way to spend the day and its great to have something so much fun nearby!!
Colter excited to see the animals!
