Colter's Corner: 14 Months

Here we are again...the 28th and today Colter is 14 months!! He is as sweet as ever and really developing just an adorable personality!! Everyone who spends time with him comments on how happy he is! And overall he is a very very happy little guy...but don't let that big smile and blue eyes fool you...he has his moments! His newest thing is when he is upset with something or at us he drops to his belly with is knees under I'm and face in his hands in the ground...honestly makes me giggle. Colter started taking independent steps this month. He loves to practice his walking between Jarrod and I but still is unsteady and lunges at times. He is getting stronger and I am sure it's just a matter of time till he is a full fledged walker! He continues to be a talker...he has a lot of words and talks all the time! He says mama, dada, emba(Emma), uh oh, no, brown bear, balloon, ball, dog, nanny, pop pop(was calling my dad this when we were there), hi, and bye. He can tell us what a monkey, sheep, and cow say. He signs more and all done too. He still babbles a lot and sometimes seems to be trying to say things we don't understand! Colter has gotten very good at playing by himself and entertaining himself. He still likes us with him but can play for long periods with no issues. He still loves taking walks and being outside as well which will be fun as the weather improves! He has started eating more foods again! He likes grilled cheese, peanut butter and jelly, and yogurt the best. He is a fan of mini nilla wafers and Popsicles as a treat. Jarrod and I can no longer sneak a snack in front of him or he wants it. With summer on the horizon we have some trips to NJ planned for some fun and sun with family!!
