August NJ trip

It has been great to be able to go to NJ every month this summer.  This trip was even more special because Jarrod's cousin Adam and his wife Vanessa and their two kids(Alyssa and Dalton) joined us for a little vacation at my parents!  We all headed to NJ Thursday night so we could enjoy the whole weekend there!

Friday morning we woke up and headed to a local zoo/park called Van Saun Park.  I have been there many times with my old job and was excited to take Colter.  We did a train ride, saw the animals and rode the Merry Go Round!  After the fun we headed home and the boys took naps.  While they napped Vanessa, Alyssa, my niece Whitney and I got pedicures...it was Alyssas first time...what fun!  After naps we all got in the pool for an afternoon swim.  Everyone loved the pool!!  Friday night my sisters family came over and we had a yummy pizza dinner.

Saturday we had outdoor plans but the weather did not cooperate.  It was raining all morning so we switched plans and met my sister and the girls at a local children's museum.  It is very hands on and everyone liked it.  We then went to the local mall for Chick-fila and a quick stop at Old Navy.  Nap time followed and when that was over the weather suddenly cleared and we were able to get into the pool for an afternoon swim!!  Later that afternoon I did a small photo shoot of the kids!  And we ended the night with delicious ribs my dad smoked on his smoker!!

Family pool Time

Sunday morning Vanessa and I headed to Carlo's bakery in Ridgewood.  It is their second store to the Hoboken store from the TLC show.  It was a neat place and we picked up some treats! We headed home a little before mid day cause Colter was not feeling great!  Another great weekend in NJ!
